Un documentaire de trente minutes aurait été plus plaisant.

With so many social networks out there I wonder if adding profiles to all of them would increase site traffic. The majority of companies in our research do take a strategic approach to digital. From talking to companies, I find the creation of digital plans often occurs in two stages. I know other people are coming along trying to create a better YouTube, but in my opinion that just won’t happen. YouTube was created in 2005, and from then it’s exploded into our lives. It has over a billion users and almost a third of people who use the Internet each day. So I don’t understand what’s the point in using websites like YouTube, when you have YouTube. Everyone I know uses YouTube once a week at least, think about a billion other people using it once a week at least. The amount of people using it and the amount of views videos will get would be incredible. My point is stick to YouTube.

Un sujet intéressant et très actuel, où un jeune étudiant d'Harvard devient milliardaire grâce au réseau social le plus utilisé mondialement, Facebook. Ce n'est pourtant pas un thriller à couper le souffle, ça pourrait même paraître ennuyeux en voyant le synopsis et pourtant ce film est excellent ! Très ingénieux et intelligent dans ses dialogues et des personnages très drôle mais aussi très spéciaux, ainsi qu'un sens de l'humour et un réalisme incroyable. Bref très agréable à regarder et puis l'univers de David Fincher est vraiment prenant dans chacun de ses films, mais surtout le jeu des acteurs est fou, mention spécial à Justin Timberlake ! Ce n'est pas un "chef d'oeuvre" mais c'est très bon :)

The themes that persist in this movie are so culturally significant and spot-on that it would be cheating yourself to not watch this movie. The Social Network is superbly directed and acted. The story is brilliant. The soundtrack is perfect. In addition to being incredibly well-made and culturally significant, this movie is also wildly engaging and entertaining. The Social Network is the best movie of 2011, if not also one of the greatest triumphs in cinema ever.

David Fincher relève avec « The social network » un sacré défi : mettre en image l’histoire de Facebook comme un biopic de son créateur. Premier constat : sa réalistaion est sans failles, sobre et efficace, avec une BO riche et qui colle très bien à chaque passage. Qualités palpables lors de la course d’aviron, sur les airs d’un grand classique, une image comme du papier glacé, sobre, élégant ... Sa construction particulière, retrace chronologiquement les évenements en éclatant par dessus les deux procès qui ont fait suite, l’effet est assez réussit parfois, parfois moins... Les acteurs principaux sont convaincants mais n’arrivent pas, tout autant que le réalisateur, à justifier l’intérêt du film (si ce n’est une illustration de la vie étudiante américaine ou du système juridique du pays). On n’apprend rien que l’on ne sache pas déjà, et on ne sens pas de regard particulier du réalisateur, de point de vue sur les images qu’il nous envoie. C’est assez plat et surtout trop bavard, beaucoup trop de dialogues et un Mark Zuckerberg qui débite à une vitesse folle... Peu de rythme au final, et un film qui s’éssouffle un peu avant la fin (que l’on connait par avance) mais qui nous tient par sa maitrise et son savoir faire (« Zodiac » plus réussit en la matière). Efficace mais pas réellement passionant ...
Là encore, Fincher nous prouve qu'il maîtrise parfaitement tout ses films. A chaque fois que j'arrive à la fin de ses films, je n'ai pas le sentiment de m'être pris une claque après avoir assister à un chef d'oeuvre cinématographique, notamment en terme d'émotion (hormis Seven qui restera son meilleur) mais je ne trouve jamais de défauts!Pour ce biopic de Mark Zuckerberg, moi qui ne connaissais pas vraiment les origines de Facebook et l'histoire de son créateur, j'ai tout simplement été dedans de bout en bout! Pourquoi? Parce que la réalisation de Fincher est excellente, notamment la rapidité des dialogues entre les personnages mais aussi la narration qui alterne à une vitesse folle les flashbacks pour permettre de suivre 2 "procès" simultanément" ! L'intrigue est elle aussi très bonne, pas haletante certes mais l'évolution des relations entre les personnages est parfaitement ficellé. Sans oublier les acteurs, tous très bons avec une petite mention pour Andrew Garfield, et la BO, pas transcendante mais qui colle parfaitement avec le film.Alors c'est sûr faut pas regarder ce film en étant tout ramolli car on risque fort de zapper dès la 1ère scène du film, mais une fois qu'on est dedans, c'est comme les réseaux sociaux, on ne peut plus arrêter!

My son switched from txt msg to Kik about a month ago and it really threw me for a loop. I was used to randomly checking his texts, but took me a couple of weeks to realize his text inbox was empty because he had switched to a new app. He texts constantly, usually to girls, and his content is too provocative and sometimes completely crosses the line. As much as we redirect him and counsel him and consequence him on this, he seems to keep doing whatever he can get away with. Now, my husband and I are thinking of uninstalling all of his apps except ones for productivity, like calendar and checklists. we may still allow the camera, but that seems harmless as long as there's no app to post the actual pics. I'm wondering if this move will be so extreme that it starts a tug of war. Any thoughts?

Il n'y a rien d'évident à mettre un morceau d'éloquence dans la bouche de personnages de 23 ans. Il fallait faire comme si les mots tombaient directement de leur conscience et garder en tête que Mark Zuckerberg est aussi un garçon perdu, un enfant qui n'a pas encore mûri et s'accroche à sa colère.
Outre qu'il vous fait réellement "voyager" à Harvard et dans l'atmosphère de la nouvelle économie nerd, c'est un film qui me fait penser, par son ambition, au Guépard de Visconti : il décrit l'affrontement entre une aristocratie déclinante (celles de la gentille upper-classe WASP qui s'habille en Ralph Lauren) et celle de l'aristocratie montante, qui impose ses valeurs en recyclant les anciennes (celle de l'informatique qui recrée des clubs).
